Have a genuine passion for outdoor learning and activities. Holding outdoor or watersports certifications (e.g., lifeguarding, kayaking, or hiking) is essential.
Possess a clean and current driving licence (essential).

Have a willingness to learn and grow professionally.
Possess excellent IT skills across multiple software platforms.
Have additional skills in outdoor activities such as stand-up paddleboarding (SUP), surfing, skiing, climbing, or bushcraft.
What Does the Role Involve?
As a Support Worker, youβll:
Assist autistic and ASN young people in a group setting to achieve their personal goals and develop independence.
Work collaboratively with clients to create and follow support plans.
Build positive relationships with clients, families, and professionals.
Promote personal independence and encourage positive risk-taking.
Stay calm and solution-focused under pressure.
Foster a welcoming, person-centred environment, listening with empathy and without judgment.
Work alongside senior members of the team, assessing and contributing to MAPS meetings and case reviews.

Role Requirements:
Essential:
A clean driving licence.
Comfortable with standard, multiple IT systems.
Outdoor sports certifications, such as lifeguard training, surfing, kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding (SUP), climbing, or bushcraft skills.
Preferred:
Experience with autism and Additional Support Needs (ASN (beneficial but not required).
SVQ2 or equivalent qualification in Health & Social Care (or a willingness to work towards this).
Key Details:
Location: Musselburgh, East Lothian, with travel to outdoor activity locations .
Salary: Β£24,570 per year (pro rata for part-time roles).
Job Types: 16 hours+ (part and full-time roles available).
Additional Information
This role is subject to the provisions of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. All previous convictions, including those that are βspent,β must be declared. These will not necessarily preclude employment but must be disclosed during the recruitment process.
