Samantha Roberts is the Founder, Managing Director and Safeguarding Lead of Edge Group Scotland. She has over three decades of cross-sector expertise in healthcare, forensic services and specialist social care.

She is a Registered Mental Health Nurse, registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council, holding a Bachelor of Health Science in General Nursing, a Postgraduate Certificate in Psychiatric Nursing (with distinction) and a Postgraduate Certificate in Forensic Medicine & Science.

Sam’s professional journey brings together clinical precision, academic excellence, and values-led leadership. Her career included frontline mental health nursing at charge nurse level. She has since advanced into specialist roles in safeguarding, training, and the design of pioneering support models for young adults who are autistic or have other additional support needs.

Sam applies a forensic approach to governance, risk management and quality assurance. Her deep understanding of legal, clinical and ethical frameworks ensures the organisation operates at the highest standards of care, compliance and accountability.

A passionate advocate for the therapeutic power of movement in nature and water, she has embedded these elements into Edge Group’s support model to drive emotional and sensory regulation, interpersonal engagement and personal growth.

Under her leadership, Edge Group Scotland has evolved into a future-focused organisation defined by safety, structure and purpose. She continues to shape national dialogue around best practice in transitional social care, with a clear moral compass and a track record of empowering others to believe, transform and achieve.
