Explore our supported day programmes for autistic and ASN young adults at our 2026 Intake Open Day.

We focus on independence, employability, and real-world experiences – with a strong outdoor sports and activities ethos. Our open days are your opportunity to see our supported day programmes in action, meet our team, and explore how we help young adults reach their positive destinations.

This is your chance to discuss options, explore our day service facilities at our Eskmills Campus, and get all your questions answered before the next intake deadline.

  • What Time?

    Doors are open from 2 pm to 4 pm, you can arrive at any point during this 2 hour timeframe.

  • Social Workers & CLDT

    See firsthand how we deliver measurable outcomes for autistic young adults and those with additional support needs. Learn how our person-centred approach helps individuals build independence, develop life skills, and take meaningful steps towards their future.

What Makes Edge’s Programmes Different?

  • Independent Travel Training

    We equip young adults with the skills and confidence to travel safely and independently, whether by public transport, on foot, or using other travel options. This essential life skill opens doors to education, employment, and community participation.

  • Outdoor Sports & Activities

    From surfing and paddleboarding to climbing, skiing, and other adventurous pursuits, our outdoor-focused activities help young adults build resilience, improve physical health, and gain confidence in challenging and rewarding environments.

  • Employability & Real-World Opportunities

    Through structured training, workplace tasters, and volunteering opportunities, we prepare young adults for the world of work. These experiences develop practical skills, responsibility, and confidence for their journey to independence.

  • Healthy Cooking & Nutrition

    Hands-on lessons in our dedicated teaching kitchen, where participants learn to prepare meals, understand nutrition, and develop confidence in the kitchen.

  • Social & Communication Skills

    Activities designed to improve interaction, teamwork, and self-expression, helping young adults build stronger relationships and thrive in social settings.

    Meaningful projects that encourage participation in local initiatives, helping young adults build social connections and a sense of belonging.

2026 Intake Open Day Location 

The location for the open day is at our dedicated day services building, the Old Engine House situated within Eskmills. To find us, follow the β€œEdge Group Scotland Ltd - Day Services” signs on Station Road.

Parking is available but spaces are limited

 

Building Accessibility

The Old Engine House building is over 2 floors (ground & first) with a specially designed teaching kitchen on the ground floor and a large classroom space on the first floor. Due to the historical nature of our Old Engine House building, there is no lift so the 1st floor is inaccessible for wheelchair users.
