Jamie is one of our Outdoor Activity leaders here at Edge. Jamie brings energy, experience, and empathy to every session β€” helping young adults grow through real-world, outdoor learning. Outside of work, Jamie has plenty of fun interests too β€” tap the questions below to find out more!

  • Recently completed the Tour of Monte Rosa race in the alps. Lots of training and planning for over a year to reach this goal

Jamie’s Professional Background

Jamie is an SSSC-registered Outdoor Activity Leader with an SVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care. Before joining Edge, he worked as an SSPCA Animal Rescue Officer, developing strong skills in teamwork, risk assessment, and responsive decision-making β€” all of which now inform his approach to supporting young adults in outdoor environments.

A qualified Scuba Diving Instructor, Level 2 Paddleboard (SUP) Instructor, and Beach Lifeguard, Jamie combines technical expertise with calm, values-led practice. His background across both water and land-based activities enables him to create inclusive, confidence-building experiences that help participants develop new skills, resilience, and independence.
