Jane’s Bio

Edge Group Scotland’s Director of Client Services

Jane holds an MA in Psychology, a Certificate in Counselling Skills, and has successfully completed her SVQ4 in Leadership and Management for Care Services. She is a registered and regulated Manager with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC), bringing both academic and sector-specific qualifications to her leadership role.

She brings a wealth of experience in client-facing roles and has long been a respected voice in the organisationβ€”someone who not only understands our values but actively embodies them in every decision she makes.

Her deep understanding of neurodivergence, sensory needs, and the development of independent living skills allows her to dynamically assess outcomes and service effectiveness in real time, ensuring we remain person-centred while continuing to challenge and stretch our young adult population. Jane leads with empathy and structure, ensuring that every young person’s journey through Edge is underpinned by safety, dignity, and purpose.

As Client Services Director, Jane takes the lead on person-centred practice, MAPS and PATH implementation, case reviews, and client development, as well as driving new initiatives to support our adult population. Her leadership strengthens quality assurance and family engagement while ensuring our practice evolves in line with the needs, aspirations, and rights of those we support. Her approach remains grounded in a strong moral compass and a clear adherence to the legislation and standards that govern our sector.

Fun fact about me

When I worked in Australia I had some weird jobs - I was a 'sale' sign twirler outside of a swimwear store, a tomato picker on a farm, a motel maid and I lived in the bush for 3 months building a remote health centre (lots of snakes and spiders!).

Favourite place in the world

Iceland or the Scottish Highlands

What was it that prompted you to join Edge

Before I joined Edge I was working with another Autism specific social care agency - I was so impressed with how Edge operated and how different their approach to Autism and support work was. They are so person-centred and really treat each client as an individual - I knew I wanted to be part of it - and I have never looked back.

What do you like about working with Edge

Everybody’s crazy (in a good way)

What I enjoy doing outside of work

Hiking, snowboarding, camping, paddleboarding, swimming, painting and cooking.

Makes me different

I went travelling for 3 years after university and I think this taught me a lot- meeting lots of different people, different cultures and trying new things outside my comfort zone.
