As a registered social care provider operating within a highly regulated and continually evolving landscape, effective governance, sector expertise, and accountable leadership are recognised as essential. In line with this understandingâand as part of an ongoing commitment to continuous improvementâManaging Director, Mrs Samantha Roberts, (BHSc- Nursing, Registered Mental Health Nurse, PG Cert Forensic Medicine & Science) has made two senior internal appointments that reflect both the calibre of in-house talent and the specific leadership demands of the sector.
Edge Group Scotland Ltd is pleased to confirm the appointment of Jane Hamilton as Client Services Director and the promotion of David Myers to Finance & Operations Director.

These appointments represent not only a recognition of their proven leadership but also a deliberate strategic investment in strengthening operational and practice-led delivery. Both Directors are academically and professionally qualified, bringing sector-specific expertise, safeguarding competence, and a thorough understanding of the legal and regulatory frameworks that govern high-quality social care provision.
Why Jane?
Jane holds an MA in Psychology, a Certificate in Counselling Skills, and has successfully completed her SVQ4 in Leadership and Management for Care Services. She is a registered and regulated Manager with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC), bringing both academic and sector-specific qualifications to her leadership role.
She brings a wealth of experience in client-facing roles and has long been a respected voice in the organisationâsomeone who not only understands our values but actively embodies them in every decision she makes.
Her deep understanding of neurodivergence, sensory needs, and the development of independent living skills allows her to dynamically assess outcomes and service effectiveness in real time, ensuring we remain person-centred while continuing to challenge and stretch our young adult population. Jane leads with empathy and structure, ensuring that every young personâs journey through Edge is underpinned by safety, dignity, and purpose.
As Client Services Director, Jane will take the lead on person-centred practice, MAPS and PATH implementation, case reviews, and client development, as well as driving new initiatives to support our adult population. Her leadership will strengthen quality assurance and family engagement while ensuring our practice evolves in line with the needs, aspirations, and rights of those we support. Her approach remains grounded in a strong moral compass and a clear adherence to the legislation and standards that govern our sector.

Why David?
David brings a formidable academic and professional background to his role. He holds an MSc with Distinction in Autism Research, a BSc (Hons) in Psychology, a BSc in Chemistry, a Diploma in Education, an SVQ3 in Health & Social Care, and a COSCA Certificate in Counselling Skills. He is currently undertaking his SVQ4 in Health & Social Care Leadership and studying for a Level 2 qualification in Accountancy and Bookkeeping. This breadth of qualifications reflects not only his commitment to professional development but also a deep understanding of the diverse needs of our sector.
David has been with Edge for eight years, and in that time, he has played a vital role in stabilising and futureproofing our operational model. His analytical mindset, sharp problem-solving skills, and pragmatic approach to financial planning have brought about tangible improvementsâfrom increased efficiency and robust budgeting systems to stronger relationships with external funders and partners.
More importantly, David has never seen finance as separate from care. He understands that sound financial decisions must be grounded in values that protect the integrity and impact of our work. His keen understanding of the social care sector, paired with his adherence to safeguarding responsibilities, regulatory standards, and legislative frameworks, ensures that every operational decision is made with care, compliance, and client wellbeing in mind.
David also leads on health and safety across the organisation, taking a proactive, detail-oriented approach to compliance and risk management. His ability to uphold accountability, embed effective systems, and align operations with best practice has helped secure our reputation as a provider that doesnât compromise on standards.
In his new role as Finance & Operations Director, David will oversee finance, property management, systems improvement, and operational delivery across all sites. He is a passionate advocate for Edge as a sector-leading organisation, and his focus remains on creating the conditions in which our teamâand the young adults we supportâcan thrive.
