2026 Referrals Now Open!
Life Programme Intake – January 2026
Edge Group Scotland is now accepting referrals for the January 2026 intake of our Life Programme — a full-time, supported day service for autistic adults and individuals with additional support needs (ASN) aged 20 to 30.
If you’re supporting a young adult who would benefit from a structured, person-centred service that promotes skill-building, confidence, and positive long-term outcomes, now is the time to take action.
The referral deadline is Friday 28th November 2025.
A Holistic Programme Designed to Empower
The Life Programme offers a flexible, strengths-based alternative to traditional adult day services. Every participant comes to us with their own unique experiences — some may have explored different routes after school, while others are still finding a direction that works for them.
What brings them together is the need for a safe, supportive environment where they can grow, build confidence, and work towards greater independence — at a pace that suits them.
Programme participants benefit from:
Independent travel training
Employability support and work-based learning experiences
Outdoor learning and physical wellbeing activities
Life skills development, including cooking and budgeting
Social connection and meaningful community participation
Individualised support planning tailored to their goals
Supporting the Journey to Positive Destinations
The Life Programme is designed to support autistic and ASN young adults to develop practical life skills, build emotional resilience, and work towards realistic, positive destinations.
Whether the destination is supported employment, volunteering, increased independence at home, or stronger social engagement, the programme offers the tools, structure, and encouragement needed to make it happen.
We work closely with families and professionals to ensure each participant has the right support around them — but the journey starts with a timely referral.
Why Referrals Need to Happen Now
Although the Life Programme begins in January 2026, the referral process involves several important steps — including assessment, eligibility checks, and securing any necessary.
All participants must have confirmed funding in place before they can begin the programme. As this can take time and varies depending on the local authority involved, we strongly encourage referrals to be submitted as early as possible to allow time for these processes to take place.
The referral deadline is Friday 28th November 2025, and places are limited.
How to Refer
Anyone can make a referral — whether you're a parent, carer, social worker, health professional, or someone else supporting the young adult.
The referral process is simple:
Complete and submit the online referral form
Our Client Services Team will review the information and be in touch with next steps
We encourage you to complete the form as soon as possible to ensure the young adult you support has the best chance of being assessed and considered for a place.
